New York – city of extremes, contrasts, and unlimited possibilities. Starting on October 18, 2025, the exhibition “NEW YORK – Metropolis of Images” will show works by six renowned photographers who explore the fascination of the metropolis in a very personal way.
Walter Schels, F.C. Gundlach, Horst Wackerbarth, Monika Baumgartl, Barbara Wolff, and Hans Lux present different photographic styles—from haunting portraits and poetic night shots to iconic scenes and documentary moments of urban life. Together, they paint a multi-layered portrait of a city that never stands still.
The exhibition invites visitors on a visual journey through the streets, faces, and atmospheres of New York—between glamour and shadows, speed and silence, reality and myth.
